NEWS UPDATE!!!

Cooking projectHey Friends !

A lot has been happening over the past few weeks and what a Joy to have the opportunity to bring you up to speed!

On the Zambian Front:

We have been having meetings with our Partner Habitat to begin to roll out the Training Workshops on HIVAIDS awareness, Succession planning and Drama performance to sensitise our community.We are pretty excited about that and its not long from now that we shall announce the dates of the activities.Charity& SoPhie at heritage day

Our Care givers took part in the Breast Feeding week that took place from 1st to 7th August,2013.

Seven (7) of our women living with HIVAIDS under the Home based care project won Vegetable gardens  at Kamanga Basic School under the Chelston clinic initiative.This will go a long way in helping our women have vegetables. .

Lastly , we have been working on building our community center in chongwe and we finished building our first  classroom. we are looking forward to starting teaching the orphans and vulnerable children from over own facilities.

In Pretoria, South Africa.

We received a wonderful donation of assorted items from the Helpnet fund a local non profit working with abused children, we also received a wonderful donation of fruits and vegetables from mothers of Lynnwood Ridge Pre Primary School. Hilda Dutoit donated four boxes of assorted clothing and were also blessed with a box of stationery from Mr Johannes Mpho for our childrens project in Mamelodi- east. We are ever grateful to our supporters who continue to support our work.jolanda and Iladies sorting clothes from helpnet fund

We  have had numerous visits to the project site and had several activities including cooking with the women under the Home Based Care Project and a program for the OVCs where we donated clothes,books,toys,teddy bears and cushions to sit on. We also donated fruits and vegetables and many more. We distributed more clothing that came in from our well wishers.

 On 14th September , we had Heritage day at Siyakhula and it was wonderful seeing the children and women dancing and the different ethnic clothes.
